Memorial Day weekend is finally upon us and Lakewoodians will be inundating our beach and lakefront area for the duration the Summer months. That being said, please be vigilant about hanging your beach passes from your rearview mirrors….they should be visible, as opposed to having them on your dashboard. Also, “carpool” if you have to, as every car at our lakefront must have a hang tag. Our towing policy will be in full force , so make sure you have only the YELLOW (hang tag) beach passes displayed. If you are visiting our common area by ATV, UTV or by foot, please be sure to bring your beach pass with you, however do NOT leave it in or on your ATV/UTV (keep it with you at all times). And finally, whether it is a Board member or a fellow homeowner who asks you about your beach pass, please be courteous. Several of us were accosted (for lack of a better word) last Summer when questioning people about their beach passes (or lack there of). Vigilance on this policy is everyone’s responsibility. So please abide by this rule and be nice if you are approached and questioned by anyone. On a side note, the vast majority of lakefront visitors did a great job obeying this policy, so let’s make 2018 a “tow free season!” Have great weekend, Lakewood!
