Our family purchased Lakewood Property in 2017 and has come to call our cabin a sanctuary. I am the proud wife of a US Navy veteran and mother of 4 amazing humans 28, 26 (a US Army Soldier), 24 and 8, and expecting our first grandchild in March 2023. We cherish the time we share together at the Lakewood Beach. January 2022, we moved from McHenry, IL to New Lisbon, WI calling WI home.
I come to the board with 20 years of municipal service as a 911 manager and Emergency Management Coordinator serving seven municipalities for police/fire/EMS service where; I gained in-depth knowledge of community budgeting, health and safety requirements, ordinance enforcement, regulation application, and municipal contracts. I am now a member of the US Army as a Civilian program manager in WI. I hold an AAS in Business Management and certification in Project Management. I look forward to serving our community and contributing to the endearing values of the Lakewood homeowners.

Ginny Palumbo - Secretary
Term 2023-2026
The Palumbo family has owned in Lakewood since the early 80's. Her and her husband Bob enjoy spending time in Lakewood. They can be found running around on their UTV, boating on the river, or sitting by the fire. Ginny has a bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising. She graduated on the Dean's list from Roosevelt University. Ginny has worked in the food business since graduating college. She was transferred to the beautiful state of Oregon for a 4-year stint, before making her way back home to Chicago during her 30 + year career. She currently holds a National Sales Manager position with Karlin Foods. She is not new to serving on a Board of Directors. She has served on her current HOA (239 homes) for the past 15 years and has held every position during her time. She is currently President of the Board of Directors in Illinois.
Nancy Carroll - Treasurer
Term 2024-2027
My husband and I have owned our home in Lakewood for over 25 years. Over my career in Marketing, Sales, Recruiting and Manufacturing I have held management positions in Human Resources and Office Management. I believe a good board member will listen to all sides of the story and vote for the right choice for the board and Lakewood owners. I believe we need people on the board that will be there to represent the association members and be transparent.
I look forward to the good old days when we had a 4th of July picnic; and I hope the members of Lakewood will come to our annual meeting with ideas for new and exciting events that we can hold at the Pavilion. We have a great place to gather and meet each other and I believe we should be using it more often. We have a great Lakewood community with new owners each year. Let’s make them feel welcome!
We have lost trust with so many of our members and we really need to make some changes. I truly believe that transparency is the key to a great board. Let’s make our members count! No more spending without a vote!
Emilia Lesniak- Director
Term Interm
I currently work as a relationship banker at a local bank in Adams. My role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their financial needs are met with personalized care. Prior to this, I spent over 20 years as a transportation broker, where I honed my skills in logistics and customer service. This diverse professional background has equipped me with a broad perspective and a deep understanding of client needs.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that allow me to connect with nature and explore new places. Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and I love discovering new destinations and cultures. Sailing offers a sense of freedom and adventure that I find incredibly rewarding. Gardening is another pastime I cherish, as it allows me to create beauty and cultivate life right at home. I also treasure the quiet moments spent in the woods, finding solace and inspiration in nature.
Our pets, Tobi, Finley, and Bennie, bring joy and companionship to our lives. They are an integral part of our family, and we love spending time with them, whether it's a walk in the woods or a cozy evening at home.
I am deeply connected to the natural beauty of Wisconsin and the sense of community here. Being a part of the association is an exciting opportunity for me to contribute to the growth and betterment of our community. I look forward to working with fellow members and making a positive impact in Lakewood.
Carin Tio - Director
Term 2024-2027
Carin Tio has owned property in Lakewood Subdivision for 21 years. Carin purchased her first home in 1999 and the second home in 2016. Carin and her husband Wayne enjoy coming up and spending time boating, riding their UTV and also enjoy the beach and common areas with their children and 6 grandchildren. Carin is currently working full-time for Henry Schein in West Allis as an Inside Sales Coordinator and also holds a real estate license in Wisconsin.
Jesse James - Director

Jesse James was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I'm a Vietnam veteran and a retired Cook County Sheriff. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren and greats. I've been a home owner here in Arkdale since June 1987. I love going out on my boat and spending time on the water.
