BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
MINUTES FOR Wednesday, February 21, 2024
The Lakewood Board of Directors meeting was called to order by President Amy Volkmann at 7:04 pm
- Roll Call:
Board Members Present Amy Volkmann – President
Gretchen Peterson – Vice President
Ginny Palumbo – Secretary
Annette Wolf – Director
Carin Tio – Director
Jesse James – Director
Not present – Nancy Kubina – Treasurer
- Minutes – Motion to approve the minutes from 10/7/23 and 1/24/24 made by Gretchen Peterson
and seconded by Jesse James. - Secretary Report
- Dues Letters – will be mailed. There will be a red stamped wording stating these are dues letters.
- Proxy letters need to be mailed by 3/30/24. For a 30 day review. There will be red stamping stating proxy letters. Carin Tio was asked to post to both Lakewood Facebook pages asking if anyone wanted to run and to let the board know.
- 40 key cards have been deactivated for not confirming key cards.
- General Business/Lakefront
- Amy Volkmann will be resigning on May 4, 2024 after the annual meeting. Amy Volkmann and Annette Wolf to review contracts for the beach/lakefront.
- Annette Wolf’s husband, Chris was to do the repairs at the lakefront, but due to unforeseen medical issues, Ben Fletcher will take over the repairs.
- Nick Olson is replacing the front flower boxes.
- Kathleen & Jeff Pugh have sanded and repainted the signs.
- Terry Anderson to re oil the chain for the gate once the weather gets warmer
- Steve Hansen and Steve Holmes are going to repour concrete for gate reader when weather breaks.
- Stan fixed the drain in front of the steps going to the beach.
- Gretchen Peterson – will be ordering a few of each size of the Lakewood apparel. Should have in a couple of weeks for the annual meeting.
- 4th of July UTV Parade and picnic. Amy will find out what day it will be on. There will be a 50/50 raffle this year.
- Ginny and Bob Palumbo will be in charge of the food again this year.
Jesse James made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 pm and was second by Gretchen Peterson.
