The summer vacation season is here and once again it is time for our summer picnic! This year it is Saturday July 2 and we will kick it off at noon. Once the majority of people have arrived we will start serving food (generally 12:20-12:45-ish). So far we’ve gotten a good reception from many homeowners and even have several new households joining us this year. Come join us for some awesome grilled vittles (I have to say that cuz I am the chef!) and catch up with old neighbors and make new friends. Each home can RSVP up to 4 people for free…any more than that is $5.00 per person. Please RSVP no later than Wednesday June 22 as I will then be ordering the necessary amount of food for the people who have reserved. After June 22 all people reserving will be required to pay $5.00 per person. We ask for everyone to bring a dish to pass and can refer to the “key” on the picnic announcement on our Member Information page as to what to bring based on the first letter of your last name. You only need to make enough to feed about 15-18 people and be sure to bring a serving utensil if your dish requires one. We are, as usual, looking for volunteers to help with set up and clean up and someone to head up games for adults and kids. If you can help us with that we would be most appreciative and you can let us know by sending us a quick note at talktous@lakewoodpoa.org. Remember too that the boat launch will be closed for that entire day.
Lastly, you will want to bring your purse, wallet, money clip or well, fanny pack (we won’t judge)…….just bring plenty of cash because we have lots of fun ways for you to spend it this year! I have created some cool summer prize packages to raffle off as well as a 50/50 raffle and we will rolling out stylish new t-shirts with our sweet new logo on them…..all the cool kids in the neighborhood will be wearing them and you will want to as well!
