As with every year, the Sunday after Thanksgiving is the day that the lakefront gate officially gets closed and locked for the Winter. Weather pending, the gate will be unlocked and opened back up on April 1st (or before if there is no snow). While the association does not plow the drive into the lakefront, as a homeowner you can still utilize our lakefront 365 days a year. While the southern parts of Wisconsin are calling for 6-10 inches of snow this afternoon, evening and next 24 hours, hopefully that will be a good indication that central Wisconsin can finally look forward to a snowy Winter!!! I know there are many of us who would like to snowmobile right from our cabins as opposed to trailering our sleds to Eagle River, Conover, Land O’Lakes and other more northern towns as we’ve been forced to do the past 4 years. Should our area receive a sufficient base of snow, the 230 miles of snowmobile trails in Adams County is scheduled to open in mid-December. In the meantime, although all ATV/UTV trails have closed until May, all road routes remain open all year long. Fingers crossed for a fantastic snowmobile season!!!
