The countdown to Memorial Day begins followed by convergence of the masses heading to their destination for the 3 day weekend! It also is many peoples maiden voyage as they pull their boats out of Winter storage. Memorial Day signifies that Summer has “officially” arrived for the next 3 1/2 months and with that our Lakewood population increases as does the activity at our beach and lakefront. I just want to take this opportunity to gently remind everybody about a few key rules when utilizing OUR property…..*If you bring it in/TAKE IT OUT (if a violator leaves garbage behind, let’s work together and keep our property clean) **BLUE 2017 hangtags MUST be hung from your vehicle mirror each and every time you enter the lakefront area (nothing ruins a weekend faster than discovering your vehicle has been towed!) ***Dogs (and other pets) are NOT allowed anywhere at the lakefront or beach areas ****ATV/UTV: if you visit the lakefront by other means than a vehicle, you MUST still have your hangtag as identification. Also, please stay off all grassy areas. *****If you witness any suspicious or illegal activity, please report to the appropriate authorities. Lastly, please remember that our piers are for day use ONLY and that overnight parking is never permitted. The outer side of the end pier should not be used for extended parking but, however, reserved for pick up and drop off with a limit of 10 minutes. These are all simple rules that have been put in place to preserve OUR investment. Working together we can only make Lakewood better than it already is! As always, thanks for your help!
