We are proud to announce the makeup of your new Lakewood Board of Directors.
Eric Koppa, President;
Steve Hensen, Vice President;
Maureen Bain, Secretary;
Kelly Bain, Treasurer;
Jim Walsh, Director.
Many of you may know Jim Walsh. He’s been an owner in Lakewood for a number of years and even served on the board as President for a year. We are excited to have him back on the board and plan to pick his brain on how we can make Lakewood a better place. And we’re pretty sure he’ll let us know what he thinks. 🙂
Steve Hensen just recently purchased his Lakewood home and he is so enthusiastic and proud of his new neighborhood that we thought he would be a great ambassador and asked him to be Vice President. He agreed and we couldn’t be happier. We look forward to working with him. Welcome to both Jim and Steve! Take a minute and read more about them on the Board Member page.
Eric, Kelly and Maureen have all been serving on the board for the past few years in various capacities. This year, we asked Eric if he would consider filling the President’s spot. Even though he has a lot on his plate with a new wife, baby, home and job, he graciously agreed to take the job. Eric has a great deal of experience both with Robert’s Rules and procedural matters having served on a condo board in Chicago as well as knowledge of homeowners associations and real estate. Most of all, he loves Lakewood and that was our best recommendation!
Kelly picked up the Treasurer duties in mid-year after Val Exner resigned. She has seen some opportunity to make an impact on streamlining some of the systems and reporting and has agreed to remain as Treasurer for 2016.
Maureen has been the Secretary for two years now. She values communication and has put a lot of effort into building and maintaining the website, Facebook page and she is the clearing house for all of our incoming emails. She will continue in this role for 2016 as well.
That’s your 2016 Lakewood Board of Directors. We are excited for the possibilities that lie ahead of us with the degree of talent and enthusiasm and positive energy we have on this Lakewood Board!
Lastly, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank Norm and Judy Hampson and Val Exner for their years of service to the Association. The list of accomplishments that we can attribute to them is long and Lakewood certainly has benefited from their tireless work. Thank you!
